YANGG is a powerful conglomerate of young and vibrant African youths from over 13 African Countries zealous and passionate about contributing to the development of their societies through sustainable development, business development/entrepreneurship, and leadership initiatives. Our diverse membership spans multiple countries, including Nigeria, the Gambia, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Cameroon, Zambia, and Botswana, etc. This extensive network positions us uniquely to address African issues from a perspective that is both impactful and vital.
Founded in 2018 by a team of African young professionals from different countries convened by Collins Ibeawuchi, YANGG has demonstrated leadership in driving social change in different communities in Africa. We have initiated over 25 projects in the past 5 years and have trained over 5500 young African leaders as of December 2023.
The third edition of our annual event, Africa, the Future Conference, is scheduled to take place on the 5th of October 2024 at the Radisson Hotel Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria. This year’s theme, Local Action, Global Impacts, aims to highlight the significance of localised solutions in addressing global challenges such as climate change, education, healthcare, public policy and economic development. The event will feature a series of panel discussions, workshops, and interactive sessions designed to equip delegates with the knowledge and tools needed to drive impactful change within their communities. The quality of these delegations across different countries would greatly enhance the depth and breadth of these conversations, inspiring the next generation of African leaders to take bold, innovative actions towards achieving the SDGs.
