As part of its commitment to empowering African youth, the Young Africans Network for Global Goals (YANGG) hosted a two-day virtual workshop on the practical implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Titled “Advancing Social Change through the Implementation of the SDGs,” the session set out to demystify the 17 Goals, strengthen civic engagement, and equip young people with actionable strategies to become change agents in their communities.
Connecting participants from Nigeria, Zimbabwe, and beyond, the workshop bridged the gap between policy and practice — building SDG literacy, encouraging civic innovation in education, health, and climate action, and laying the groundwork for youth-led national action plans, in the spirit of SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
