On 8 November 2025, the Young Africans Network for Global Goals (YANGG) convened Africa The Future Conference 2025, a hybrid gathering hosted at the Radisson Hotel, Lagos, and streamed online. The conference united young leaders, policymakers, innovators, creatives, and civic advocates around a shared ambition: reimagining a resilient, innovative, and youth-driven Africa equipped to accelerate the Sustainable Development Goals.
Opened by Ugbonma Grace Ekeagbara, National Coordinator of YANGG Nigeria, alongside Global President Kelechi Ndieze, the day spotlighted youth leadership and innovation-driven policy. Keynote speakers Kayode Nissi and Amarachi Kalu, Country Director of the Challenge Fund for Youth Employment, explored digital transformation and youth employment through technology, entrepreneurship, and policy reform.
Two panels deepened the dialogue — one on civic engagement and democratic participation, another on digital transformation, infrastructure, and inclusive technology — complemented by a spoken-word performance and an awards presentation. Drawing 101 participants and nationwide coverage through partnerships with The Sun and The Guardian, AFC 2025 reaffirmed YANGG Nigeria's commitment to civic engagement and youth-led transformation.
