As part of its continental She Leads Series, the Young Africans Network for Global Goals (YANGG) hosted African Youth Summit 4.0 under the theme “Women & The African Identity.” Held virtually on 28 August 2020 and streamed live on Zoom and Facebook, the dialogue brought together young leaders from across Africa and the diaspora to amplify women's voices and confront the systemic challenges shaping women's identity, societal roles, and participation in leadership.
Hosted by YANGG Global President Collins Ibeawuchi, the summit featured a pan-African panel spanning Nigeria, Zambia, Namibia, and Canada. Together, they explored the gap between policy and women's lived realities, the weight of cultural expectations, and the power of redefining African identity through a feminist, youth-led lens.
