In recognition of International Women's Day, the Young Africans Network for Global Goals (YANGG) hosted a virtual dialogue celebrating the achievements of women and amplifying female voices across Africa. Held on 8 March via Zoom, the conversation brought together youth leaders and advocates from across the continent to champion gender equity, youth empowerment, and inclusive leadership in direct support of SDG 5: Gender Equality.
The session was hosted by YANGG Global President Collins Ibeawuchi and moderated by Kelechi Ndiezue, International Director of Programmes. Guest speaker Ruth Asiimwe, Executive Director of the Uganda Youth Network, delivered a compelling keynote on women's leadership, political inclusion, and grassroots activism — underscoring that achieving equity requires collaboration between female leaders and male allies alike.
