In commemoration of International Youth Day 2020, the YANGG Gambia Chapter convened a high-level virtual summit to amplify the voice of African youth in national development and global action. Held on 12 August 2020 via Zoom, the summit brought together youth leaders, thought influencers, and policy advocates to explore how young people can take proactive roles in shaping their communities, economies, and institutions.
The dialogue featured Fatou Camara (CEO, Fatou Network), Fatumatta Camara (Founder, Think Africa), and Dr Ismaila Ceesay (University of The Gambia). Aligned with SDGs 4, 8, 16, and 17, the summit reinforced a powerful principle: young people are not just beneficiaries of development, but key architects of Africa's future.
