The Young Africans Network for Global Goals (YANGG) held a successful two-day summit in The Gambia from 21–22 February, bringing together young changemakers from across the continent for training, dialogue, and celebration.
Day one opened with a ceremony led by Global President Kelechi Ndieze, alongside Executive Secretary Mary K. Badjie and the YANGG Gambia board. A leadership training followed, facilitated by influential youth leaders including Basiru Jaye, Fatima Muloshi, and Kelechi Ndieze. The day closed with a vibrant cultural festival celebrating African heritage.
Day two centred on the Women in Leadership and Governance Conference, with keynote addresses from the YANGG President; the Lord Mayoress of Banjul, Her Worship Rohey Malick Lowe; and Mr Madi Jorbateh. An awards night recognised committed members with Ambassadorship Awards and presented certificates to all delegates, before newly elected Global Vice President Mary K. Badjie closed the summit.
